Dr. Darice Davis is a licensed clinical psychologist. She is passionate about improving the psychological well-being of marginalized and underserved populations. Clinically, Dr. Davis takes a multiculturally sensitive approach and strives to demonstrate a person-centered approach with clients. Dr. Davis highly values relating in effective and meaningful ways with others. Dr. Davis aims to provide care that demonstrates ethical competence and cultural humility. She desires to provide a space in treatment that encourages and acknowledges clients’ individual experiences. Dr. Davis utilizes her relational and culturally sensitive skills while demonstrating evidence-based treatments. 

 

Dr. Davis has a strong commitment to addressing issues of diversity, which she demonstrates in her work as a clinician and researcher. Dr. Davis has engaged in research and presented on topics in local and national conferences that address issues of diversity, intending to bring awareness to the psychological concerns of ethnic minorities. These topics include the transgenerational effects of trauma on African American families, colorism and self-esteem in minority adolescents, community trauma in ethnic minorities and immigrants, and perspectives of Black professionals in predominantly White spaces. Dr. Davis’ dissertation, The Influence of Perceived Discrimination on Race-Related Stress and Attitudes Toward Police among African Americans, is the culmination of her research interests.

With years of frontline experience in the Richmond Fire Department and advanced training in leadership, cultural awareness, and community engagement, Jalil brings a unique perspective to peer support and consultation. His work focuses on resilience, accountability, and fostering healthy, supportive environments where people can thrive both personally and professionally.
